Siddhartha Sensharma

Managing Director

Sidd leads conceptual development, system design, and commercialisation at Ground.

He founded his first technology company, Newton’s Meter, at 14, leading product development and fundraising for a machine learning-driven and bio-signal based theft-proof access control system. He then served in the Singapore Combat Engineers as a Sergeant, instructing on demolitions and counter-IED, and commanding an M3G rig. This combination of high-stress scenarios across complex technological and military environments inspired a long-term interest in how effective judgement can be exercised under uncertainty.

Sidd read Experimental Psychology at the University of Oxford, and was elected an Academic Scholar. His research focused on the effects of sleep and entropy on memory consolidation, utilising electroencephalography, behavioural, and computational approaches. He was the President of OX1 Incubator, distributing equity-free grants to Oxford startups, and a Director of the Oxford Strategy Group, where he consulted on gamified auction systems and AI for healthcare. These experiences gave him an intimate understanding of the theoretical foundations, practical experiments, and real-life applications concerning decision-making.

At Ground, he sits at the intersection of human judgment and artificial intelligence to create bounded generative environments where consequential decisions can be tested and improved before they have to be executed in real life.

Head of Technology

Eduard leads the technical product at Ground.

Eduard began coding at 10 and moved into professional software development at 13, where he ran a commercial project in Virtual Reality Digital Twin systems for logistics optimisation, alongside impromptu projects to mitigate the impact of the Covid-19 lockdowns on company operations. This included turning 3D scans into viewable environments, simulating the movement of warehouse contents, and developing virtual tours and product exhibitions.

Alongside his technical career, Eduard read Economics and Management at the University of Oxford, where he has been an academic scholar, and co-founded the Odyssey Fellowship spanning London, Oxford, and Cambridge. While at Oxford, he built the first AI system to debate and win at the Oxford Union.

Prior to this, he was a fellow on the inaugural Atlas Fellowship, receiving a grant for his projects and participating in an SF-based retreat with promising founders and other individuals pursuing idiosyncratic careers. He was also named a Polaris Fellow and helped create spaces where early-stage founders can learn from one another.

At Ground, he converts abstract goals into concrete technology that delivers results for decision-makers at all levels of an organisation.
